Terms of Service

By using Fati ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Fati is an AI coaching tool. You have voice conversations with an AI that helps you set goals, track habits, and reflect on what's working.

Fati is not a substitute for professional advice. It is not therapy, medical care, legal counsel, or financial advice. Do not rely on it in an emergency. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency number.

Who can use Fati

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions where local law sets a higher minimum age) to use Fati. By signing up you confirm you meet that minimum.

Your account

You're responsible for what happens on your account. That means:

  • Keep your login credentials safe.
  • Don't share your account with anyone else.
  • Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access (security@fati.app).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Fati to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Scrape, mirror, or automate the service in ways we haven't authorized.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
  • Use the service to violate any law or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Resell or share account access with people who haven't agreed to these terms.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Voice recording

Fati's core feature is voice. By using the voice features, you consent to your audio being recorded, transcribed, and stored for the purposes laid out in the Privacy Policy — running the service, holding context across conversations, and improving the product.

If you don't want recordings stored, you can:

  • Turn off call recording in settings, or
  • Avoid using the voice features.

SMS

If you give us your phone number and opt in, you consent to receiving text messages from Fati's brand number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help.

Proactive outreach

Proactive nudges — push notifications, SMS check-ins, scheduled prompts — are part of how the coaching works. You can turn them off in settings. Disabling outreach won't break the service but will change how you experience it.

AI output

Fati uses AI models that can be wrong, biased, or out of date. Do not treat AI output as authoritative. Verify anything you'd act on, especially anything related to your health, finances, legal situation, or safety.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create through Fati — your conversations, the documents you write, the goals you set. You grant Fati a limited license to store, process, and display that content to operate the service for you and to improve it. See the Privacy Policy for the data side of this.

Service availability

Fati is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate. We may change, suspend, or shut down features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fati and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — or $50, whichever is greater.

This section is intentionally standard. A lawyer should tighten it for the jurisdictions we operate in.

Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion runs immediately.
  • We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if continued service would expose us or other users to risk, or if we shut down the service.

On termination, your account data is removed per the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

_Placeholder while this stub is in place:_ these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

A real legal review needs to pick the right jurisdiction, venue, and dispute resolution mechanism (arbitration clause? class-action waiver? consumer-protection carve-outs?) before this section ships.

Changes

We'll notify you in-app or by email before any material change to these terms. Continuing to use Fati after a change means you accept the new terms. Non-material edits (typos, link fixes) may be made silently; the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent change.
